Hi All,

I've not been much lucky with the Ericsson SH888 I bought. I never managed
to get the data-transfer working over the cable - which is rather
annoying. In the desparate hope that it was the phone that was broken, I
went to have Ericsson upgrade the software (it did have other bugs, such
as frequently occouring deadlocks etc). No good still - in fact on the
data-transfer side it still behaves as described in a previous email: I
can get to see the phone in /proc/net/irda/discovery, but the moment I try
(through minicom or otherwise) to send something through /dev/ircomm0,
the info there disappears.....

Above goes for all non-development kernels I have tried. I should mention,
that when using IR rather than the cable, I have had it working on my old
laptop.

Question: Have anyone had success with the Ericsson SH888 and
data-transfer to a Linux-pc through the cable?

Thanks in advance
