Hi, I have Redhat Linux 6.2, with kernal 2 .2.14-5.0 on i686, & irda utilities verion is 0.9.10-1, I have my phone connected to the computer through a serial cable (serial port ttyN000), I dont know the procedure to run IrDA on this port. PLease help. I run the irmanager first then I try to run IrDA by typing command irattach /dev/ttyN000, but irattach does not run , is there a procedure by which I can make this work. I am trying to run PPP on it, when I start PPP atleast the phone answers back with an OK, but will not dial. Please help it is an emergency , I have to make it work somehow for this project, otherwise I will be in trouble.
