IBM supplies a utility for DOS, Win and OS/2 to perform set-up tasks
on its ThinkPads. The DOS version is called PS2.EXE; the Win and OS/2
versions are called "ThinkPad Features". Most of the tasks they perform
are things which other manufacturers put in the BIOS set-up menu; for
example: enabling and disabling peripherals; selecting between EPP, ECP
and standard parallel port; choosing I/O addresses and IRQ numbers, and
selecting between the various suspend modes (RediSafe, hibernate on timer,
etc.). It is fairly hard to get by on a ThinkPad without using this
at least once, but fortunately you can run it off a DOS floppy so you
don't have to install anything. Unfortunately it does not work under
DOSEMU.
