Hi Rafal, You are only partly correct about APM being in the kernel. It has been my experience with RH 5.2 and now SuSE 6.1 that the stock kernels supplied in the distributions do not have the support installed by default. What you will probably need to do is to recompile the kernel. I don't know how familiar you are with that process, but you should know it is actually one of the easier things to do. You should check the kernel-howto and the RH documentation (both should be on the RH CD) for detailed instruction. Good luck, Tim > -----Original Message----- > From: Rafal Szmidt [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Saturday, May 22, 1999 8:10 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: APM. > > Hi everyone, > > I have strange problem on Toshiba 490CDT. > When trying to use apmd or apm I receive info > 'No APM support in kernel'. It is not true because > I have ReHat 5.2 and all info says APM is included > form kernel 1.3 .. something.
