Hello All,

as a piece of help, if you have a LILO that is
dead and resisting attempts at revival, e.g.you
do a fresh /etc/lilo.conf and /sbin/lilo and
it still hangs, you might have a screwed MBR.
This can be fixed from DOS with fdisk /mbr

worked for me, and if I'd known a week before
I would have a much more relaxed stomah.
