The trick I have been using involves booting up in graphics mode using
vesafb and then running a modfied X server. XFree86 3.3.5 is supposed to
work with the Rage LT, however, so this should be unnecessary. I haven't
yet tried it myself though since it just came out a few days ago.
As for your other problems I'm afraid I can't help, I got a PCMCIA
ethernet card which has been working beutifully, the sound is an ESS
Maestro for which driver support is still primitive but being activly
worked on by someone at red hat, and I didn't get an LS120 drive since I
already have a parallel port zip drive...
