Just out of curiosity... Has anyone used the scheme stuff to setup a laptop
to be on two different networks? I have a few simple scripts that bring
down the eth0, and bring up one for home and sets a default route. I call
the scripts home and work and just run them before starting. A more
interactive way may be good. The other thing is using a laptop which is on
an ethernet network at work which then is used on the road for a dialup ppp
connection. I have to bring down the ethernet interface because the default
route for an ethernet interface takes precedence over ppp I guess.
How do others deal with using a laptop in a mobile and office setting and
have either dialup or ethernet access across the board? BTW, I use Debian
Potato on my laptop.
Thanks.
