I did get my modem working with caldera, but seem to have got stuck clues
please.
the hp5500 beeps twice high when card is inserted
kppp: sorry the modem is busy (the problem or symptom if you will)
cardctl ident correctly identifies 3com156 modem
manfid: 0x0101, 0x0039
function: 2 (serial)
/var/run/stab reports ttyS2
lsmod reports pcmcia_core 41280 0 [serial_cs ds i82365]
I have read hinds pcmcia how tos.
I have tried leaving the card in and rebooting, unfortunately this seems to
lock the keyboard and mouse at the kde sign in page.
your thoughts please.
