Based on the above, you may be running the original Xandros distribution. For Xandros, there is a package updater in one of the menus. However, you may not have enough disk space left to update the packages. You could try installing Google Chrome (32 bit .deb package) http://www.google.com/chrome/ which comes bundled with the latest Flash Player. Otherwise, you may have to update you eeepc with Ubuntu Netbook Re-mix or another version of Linux. BEWARE: by trying any of my suggestions, you may render your netbook unusable.
