Well, after some fiddling, by pure coincedence I found out what was missing.
I selected the symbol to save, ended up still without out the Save Symbol

after the selection, it needs two more canvas clicks to fixate the origin

Thanks again for your effort, Brian.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a whirl.
I want to make this the default when I click on the SuSE Help icon,
will have to read up on changing KDE links.

Netscape eats up at least 33% of the CPU, crazy when all I want to do

I have used Kfm to view my own pages offline, pity it can't handle

The structure is:
1-4 primary partitions

or

1-3 primary partitions and an 'extended' partition containing logical
partitions, this is the usual setup and it is what you have.
You are already using some of the space in the extended partition for Linux,
you are perfectly welcome to use the rest as well. The next partition would
then be /dev/hda8 and could run from 708 to (maximum) 4982

I do have a toshiba 320 CDT.. with a Chips & Technologies 65555 video card,
if your laptop has almost the same, just e-mail me and I will get the
options you have to add to your config file for you..

It depends on what you are doing, and which RISC. The shipping 300MHz
MIPS parts, 450MHz UltraSPARC IIs and the PowerPCs are all slower than
the 1GHz Pentium III for the SPECfp95 and SPECfp2000 tasks, and even
the 440MHz 8600 PA-RISC part in the N4000 is slower on SPECfp2000_base.
Alpha is really the only architecture with a >major< FP advantage on
these kinds of tasks. While UltraSPARC III and faster MIPS chips are
on the way, so is Willamette (which will supposedly start at 1.4GHz
and have a significantly faster microarchitecture.)

You have to be very careful about what you are doing. There are a lot
of nifty algorithms that can run quicker on 64-bit machines, but they
have to be hand tuned for it. Ive compiled a number of algorithms on
architectures which support both a 32-bit and a 64-bit mode (with a
64-bit kernel than supports both on the same machine) and Ive found
that a fair amount of code runs slower in 64-bit mode than in 32-bit
mode on the same machine.

But wget only does the "resume broken downloads" part. It doesn't do the
"find the fastest server" or the "integrate tightly with the browser" part.

On the bright side, it also doesn't do the "install spyware" part, either.

Hi all,

I have configured two SuSE 6.2 box so that they can "rcp" files between each
other. But, sometimes, it fails to copy and display the following output:

/tmp#rcp filenames box2:/tmp/.
box2: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.

I have tried to run the command between a AIX4.3.2 box and SuSE 6.2 but
still have problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

thanks in advance

Hello all,

I was installing RedHat on my 98 machine, and it managed to overwrite
the boot sequence for linux and now boots straight into Linux. I know
that the 98 partition is fine so can someone please tell me how to
restore my 98 boot and preferably get some sort of dual booter much
like NT has.

Thanks,

read the lilo man pages: 'man lilo' and 'man lilo.conf'. Also read the
lilo howto, you will find it in /usr/doc/HOWTO/

good luck

Martin

P.S i could answer your question, but then you won't learn much :-)

You probably didn't specify your Win partition during install. Edit
/etc/lilo.conf to be able to chose at boot time. "man lilo" gives you
all the required information. Don't forget to run "lilo" after you've
done any modifications.

Good luck,

Hi,

-rw-------).

Weiss jemand Rat?

[Snip...]

Indeed; I had fits finding this one which includes vt100-type codes, but in
my haste didn't note the source site. However, I just tried it on one Linux
box for a TERM environment of vt100 and it worked fine. (The control, escape
key symbols in this list are ^,\E for some user at a keyboard). It might be
an extension of the ADM-3a file you noted...

# this file contains mappings between characters entered from the keyboard,
# and 3270 keys, for use by programs (like tn3270) doing 3270 emulation
# from unix. the vt100 section works well with Telix-like emulators.
#
# inside the single quotes, a caret ("^") introduces a control character
# sequence (rub out = ^?, by the way). also inside the single quotes,
# a backslash ('\') introduces an escaped character. Also, \n, \r, \t,
# are all as in c, and \E is another way of representing escape.
#
# NOTE that while we are defining lots of function, much of that
# function (ie: local editing keys) may not yet be available from
# tn3270.

Subject: Capturing ifo into log file
Date: Thu, 8 Jun 2000 15:19:48 +0800

I need help in configuring the apache web server to capture certain
information into the log file . The info that I have to capture are

- the users screen colour depth (example : 256 colour , 16 bit)
- screen resolution
- screen size
- country
- log in time of user
- type of browser used (with type of version)
- type of platform (os)

Is there any way of doing this . I know that it had to be configured in the
httpd.config file if i'm not mistaken , but I don't know the command line to
do it . Anyway the server runs on Linux 2.2.6 . Please help I'm still new to
this and confused.
