I just tried to install Redhat 6.2 on my HP3390 Laptop. The Video driver
is in the selections and then I set up my dual boot hdd. Install went
o-k until it finished. I then seen a message of many errors, Which
follow,, traceback (innermost last ): file /usr/bin/anaconda/line342

stuff a boot disk in and boot up and I get an error message of Unable

RESCUE and go to the bash prompt but I don't know what to do here?? I
think its a problem with the anaconda file ??? I have Win ME on the
first 1/2 of the HDD and it works fine. Upon boot up it jumps straight
to WIN so LILO is not on the MBR. I stuffed in the CD and went to
/usr/bin and tried to do "anaconda --reconfig" and received an error

A long while back some guys found out that not only did their news
provider not limit bandwidth on uploads, but they also didn't limit
bandwidth when you grabbed headers - even if your subscription was on
a slow account.

So they had this great idea: encode your files into subject lines,
upload at unlimited bandwidth, then others could grab the headers at
unlimited bandwidth and extract the file piece-by-piece from the
headers. This way cable-modem downloaders would have unlimited
bandwidth for the cost of a 33K connection!

Hi Devon,

It should be a problem if attempt the naming host to domain name,
try to use ip, dhcp can assign a fix ip to specific host too.

Hi, I'm having trouble while doing server installation on RedHat 6.2.
I tried to install XFree86Setup 3.3.5's RPM. It give me an error
saying:
"failed dependencies: libtcl.so and libtk.so is needed by
XFree86-XF86Setup-3.3.5-3".
I've tried to list these two file from the CD but nothing was found.
What should I do?

oh
i found it myself
its mounted through the rc-scripts.
/etc/rc.d/rc.M checks to see if there
is a executable rc.cdrom.
if there is, it runs it.

Look for tcl-8.0.5-35.rpm and tk-8.0.5-35.rpm

You should find them in (IIRC) $CDROM/RedHat/RPMS

Hello,

Can we have a process entry which is "nameless" ???
If yes, how do we identify it if we dont know the PID ?
How to write such a process(daemon) which will create such a nameless entry

I hope someone can tell me what is going wrong.

Subject: pap-secrets

Hello, All!
And I'm here again... First of all thenks to:
    Christopher W. Aiken
     guenter weber
    Volker Widor.
But dispite of the friendly help i can't solve my problem :(
The question was that:

>I can't connnect due to misconfigures pap-secrets file :(
>As it was advised by some linux guru i put there next line:
>* myloginname mypassword.
>But when negotiating i see, that instead of my myloginname there appears my
>hostame :(.

The suggestions were that:
The correct format is:
<login name> * <passwd> (by Christopher W. Aiken)
turn it round and in " "myloginname" * "mypassword" (by guenter weber)
use: "loginname" * "password", try to use the option "noauth" in the
optionsfile. (by Volker Widor)

Was tried out:
Hellava of various combinations of loginname * and password, <>, "", and so
on :(
There two basic different outputs could be distinguished:
first when i use * loginname password:
pppd -d -detach /dev/ttyS1 38400 &

Subject: Two copies of sshd (OpenSSH) running?

I am running the OpenSSH version of sshd for secure, remote
configuration. The sshd daemon is started from my crontab with this
line:

# Start sshd
ss:2:boot:/usr/local/sbin/sshd

According to ps, there are two instances running. Is this correct
behaviour? I am logged into the machine at present.

Happiness is a SAAB Gripen <http://www.gripen.saab.se/> in the
garage, an FN-FAL in the safe, and an HK P7M8 on the hip.
