Yes, before that there also was a line "can't be mapped to..." with 0x3b8. It was just trying a bit... BTW: Is there somewhere a good (and up-to-date) documentation for dosemu. All I got up to now was either very old or very short. > > > ERROR: PORT: conflicting devices: VGAEmu Mono/Hercules Card & std port io > > > ERROR: PORT: conflicting devices: VGAEmu Mono/Hercules Card & std port io > > yes. if you give direct access to port 0x3b8 then it can't be emulated as > well. Ok, I removed the 0x3b8 from $_ports. Now this messages aren't there any longer. > > And is this problem the reason for the lines with "PORT: ... can't be > > mapped to ..."? The installation-program of Transport Tycoon Deluxe. I come until the start-menu, but as I know from reading the logfile as the first .gif-file is read the program writes "Gif Expansion Error!" and goes back to the start-menu although now the installation should start. (And it seems that the file is loaded correctly from the harddisk-at least after the file-loading-operations wasn't any error in the logfile). I have turned the +a -option on and I couldn't find any reason for the program writing that error-message, so I don't think I'll try it again. Perhaps I'll execute the installation-program on a real dos-system, copy the files to my dosemu-directory and try to run the game itself then. But anyway, it's not that important...
