I'll just toss out some thoughts.
First, it is probably impossible
to purchase a new harddrive that is too small to hold _both_
Linux and OS/2. It doesn't have to be an either-or situation.
Either the OS/2 boot manager or Lilo should work to choose
between the two operating systems. Second, if the business
is run with a single computer, i.e. no networking, then almost
any setup should be ok.

I don't think such a claim means much. Does that mean the
vendor will guarantee the DB app will continue working even
when there is no electric power because the city utilites
are down due to a date-related problem? In other words,
"y2k compliant" needs to be very carefully defined before
any claim about it even has a meaning, nevermind whether
the claim is true or false.
I maintain a medical accounting package and _think_ I have
tended to all the date-related issues. My personal policy
on the matter is not to assert that it is y2k compliant.
I think way too big a deal is being made about y2k. If
I am dramatically wrong, the y2k compliancy of my product
or the one you use may be the least of our worries.
