I've been using 2.1.122 and haven't seen duplicate routes (that
may have been happening unnoticed, though) but did notice obsolete
pppx interfaces hanging around in some circumstances.
I wrote an ip-up and ip-down which enable the redialer script to
work out which interface was used given the remote IP address of the
permanent link, and thus (via /var/run/pppx.pid) which pppd was
running on the link, then execute statements which will kill the
pppd and down the interface if either exists.
I don't see duplicate routes, but it is possible that the above
measures prevent them from occurring.

It's not a problem for me on 2.1.122. If it's a bug it's a welcome
one because it has forced me to improve the robustness of my
redialer script.
