are you pinging IPs or names ?

if you 're pinging names try pinging ips.
if you can ping ips but not names goto /etc/resolv.conf and add
nameserver ###.###.###.###
else have by any chance firewalling configured to drop everything coming
from outside.

Nuno

Subject: ppp: no packets coming back

Greetings. I'm having trouble with my ppp connection on Kppp/Mandrake 6.0.
After dialing, a connection is established and the ppp0 interface comes up.
But when I ping something, no packets come back. I can even ping by name
and the name is correctly resolved to an IP address!

Everything works in Windows, so there's nothing wrong with the hardware.
How should I go about debugging this? What information should I post here
to help diagnose the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.
