That is wrong...I have a Cirrus (CL-GD5428) 1mb and I can run at 24
(640x480 I believe), 16bpp (800x600), and 8bpp (1024x768). Though you
have to edit the XF86Config...uncomment '#Option "Linear"' and the MemBase
(gives a hexa...thinglike 0xFE0000 or something) and you can run at
16...read the README.cirrus.... oh yeah make chipset "clgd5428" (it isnt a
choice on any of the menu driven configs..you have to manually do all the
above.)
