Hi to all:
I have read README from /usr/src/linux but I couldn't install the new
kernel. I'd need to check up this file (README), maybe I have somethig
wrong.
It says:
"INSTALLING the kernel:
-If you install the full sources, do a
cd /usr/src
gzip -cd linux-2.0.XX.tar.gz | tar xfv -
to get it all put in place. Replace "XX2 with the version number of the
latest kernel."
I have done all this but I couldn't install the new kernell. When I do:
uname -a it appears the number of the old kernel again.
Could you help me?.
