Note we are talking "sources" here to "MAKE" a new kernel, it sounds to me
as if you think after installing the kernel source you automaticly have a
new kernel.
I suggest you read the README again, it tells you about make config make dep
and make zImage, then a few lines further it tells you HOWTO install the
newly made kernel and have lilo boot it.
If you are new to this sort of thing i suggest you use 'make zdisk' instead
of make zImage, the newly made kernel image will then be copied to a floppy
from which you can then boot without having to rerun lilo.
