I use a SoundBlaster AWE 64 Value with OSS (www.opensound.com I believe) and
some big speakers. I only use this for sound playback so don't know how well
the MIDI etc features are supported. But OSS is a commercial soundcard driver.
There are a *couple* of tracks where the MP3 is different from the CD...but the
sound quality is quite good. I wish I had more discrete control over the mixing
(I use KDE's mixer which works) because some songs need more bass attenuation
than others. And the one I'm listening to now needs some high end clipping for
hiss (that was on the original CD).
