Redhat saves "dmesg" text to a file called dmesg which can be read with less
or more, its in /var/log.
SUSE has a file called boot.log in /var/log

The only problem with dmesg is that if a problem arises like the one
described in the origanal message then the boot text will be overwritten as
i belive the total size of dmesg is 4k, its only a buffer, 'man dmesg' will
explaine.
