Put the fonts in each packages in it's own directory (not really neccesary, but
much neater).
eg.
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/font/freefont
Run "mkfontdir" in each of these directories to create the "font.dir" file, you
probably don't need to do this if the package comes with a "font.dir".
Edit "/etc/XF86Config" and add in a new "FontPath" entry. The "FontPath" entry
should consist of the word "FontPath" followed by the full path of the new
directory.
eg.
FontPath /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/font/freefont
