du /tmp will print out the size of the sub directories there is a flag to give the total size of the directory. man du also you can do a ls -al in the parent directory and then look at the output for the dircetory listing and that will give some information like the attributes. > > Is there anyway to get the attributes for a directory, like size and > possibly the tree?
