Partitioning your 1.2 gig hd wouldn't be a good idea as that would
leave very little room for all the drive hungry windows stuff and
these days the price of a new hd is fairly low. A new hd just for
linux would also make the installation an easy proposition.
Your system would run linux with ease though..I have it installed on
an "old 486" and it perks along just fine. I do believe that RH 5.1
has been superceded by 5.2 though and I would advise moving to
the newer release although 5.1 is certainly useable.
