1.Try using xf86config. It asks you to specify the video RAM explicitly, so
you should be able to tell X the right amount.
2. Try the SVGA server. Don't count on it working if the XFree pages say
your card isn't supported, but it might if the card has good svga fallback
on board.
3. If 2 doesn't work, try the VGA16 server. You won't like it (it's ugly),
but it supports *almost* any video card made.
4. I know the 3.3.3.1 supports some other SiS cards. You might try the
driver for them and hope for luck.
