Do you mean you have a slackware 96 system, or that you have a
slackware 96 cd and have been been trying since 96 to install it? :-)
Unless Cheap bytes is better, there is lots of doco available in text on
the cd: INSTALL.TXT, and text versions of some of the multi-boot howtos
are in <cdrom>\docs\mini. You will probably want fips to shrink your
windows partition so you can make one for linux. If the win95 is on a
fat16 partition, the fips15 that probably comes with slackware 96 will
do it. If it is fat32, you need fips 2.0. I am pretty sure it exists,
but I am sorry, I don't know where. Anybody??? If you already have
windows quarantined in a partition that doesn't consume the whole disk,
just go ahead and install linux, and we can go from there.

If you can be a little specific about what you are up against, we can be
a little specific about helping you. :-)
