Did you try to fix your floppy drive ?
You can start by cleaning it with a cleaning floppy.
You can also take it out of the computer and open it and remove all the
dust inside. Maybe you descover a broken wire and you can fix it. Don't
be affraied of elecronics. It is easier than programming.
If you learn about fixing the elecronic parts of the computer you can
make good money. You can work to the maitenance of some company's
computers or you can buy computers with little damages, fix them and
resell.
