Hi,

No expert either, but can pass some info on my Slackware setup - its
probably similar...

df doesnt show me anything about swap

free does. Your free below shows 0  total swap space.

My fstab has this entry for swap:

/dev/hda2           swap            swap           defaults      0      0


How large is your swap partition? Its partition type is 82?
