        Your swap is not Ok.  This is obvious even.  free says something
like total 0.  Does this look like the swap is working?
        Put in /etc/fstab a line like that:
/dev/<name_of_the_swap_partition> swap swap defaults 0 0
        But remeber one important detail: don't use spaces.  Go for tabs.
To keep those tabs untranslated to spaces use vi or something like that.
