        Besides bad spelling, try naming the files.  config can mean a
lot.  So does autoexec.  In case you mean autoexec.bat hear this: without
the bat extension the dos shell won't run it.

        Not half.  Again you speak without knowing.  the old \dos dir
becomes \windows\command

        That's easy.  m$ products are (at least they pretend to be)
backwards compatible.  so win3.x has no problems.  After all win3.x is a
garphical platform.
