don't know what you mean with the 'original linux'. afaik, there is only
one linux, albeit different versions and distributions.

this looks like you chose the slakware distribution. this works when you
want to install from floppies.

i don't know your laptop brand, but if it has an intel processor, it

slakware, latest version seems me best for you.
