Firstly, scsi support is in every distribution installed kernel but it is a
module (you did install all the modules did'nt you.?) and would have to be
loaded by Kerneld or by hand.
Modules are stored in /lib/modules/2.x.x/*

Secondly i dont have scsi disks, however the driver i belive you need for
that device is the Adaptec AIC7xxx chipset SCSI controller support

If you look at /usr/src/linux/Documentation/Configure.help and look for
CONFIG_SCSI_AIC7XXX and read its paragraph it should lead to you knowing
what to do.

Or read the SCSI-HOWTO in the /usr/doc/* dir on your system.
