Hi, Richard:

 I'm going to print your message out and read it several times. Thanks :-)

I've been wondering about how to make the 'make config' faster/easier.
I like to automate the first install so that it goes error free and
with fewest keystrokes from me. I have a list of 'things to do' to
install a kernel and IP-MASQuerade from scratch. Uh, things that pertain
only to my install that were gleaned from the HOWTO-s. It fits on one
sheet of paper, two columns and 12 point font so I can read it easily!

Aside: Thanks for the HOWTO-s fellows!

 It will be a big help to be able to save and reuse the ".config" file. :-)

 What I usually do is 'make zdisk' and reboot with that floppy. If
things work okay, then I 'make zlilo'.  I have one linux box running;
linux-2.0.34 & IP-MASQ. Lately, I have been trying to add linux to
my work PC. It has DOS v6.22 & Wfwg3.11. I downloaded as few as
possible files from slackware-3.6 from sunsite and edited the tagfiles
to fool 'setup' into installing with few keystrokes from me!

 I am having trouble getting this install to see my 24 Megabytes of memory.
It sees only 16 Megabytes.

:-)

Chuck
