Hello commune,
I recently installed RH5.2 kernel 2.0.36 on my i586. Everything is ok
except during bootup, sendmail daemon takes preety long time to start.
This machine is not on the net presently, but will be shortly. The
parameters to sendmail daemon are -bd -q1h. I added one more
parameter, -v, and got this:
050 Warning: localhost is not qualified. fix $j in sendmail.cf
I did "aliases" on the command prompt and got the same warning. Tried
to trace this in sendmail.cf, but it seems i can't understand a nibble
in that file. I dont have sendmail.cf man page.
What do i need to fix this?

P.S. my /etc/hosts file have a single line like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost <my_machine_name> I've put my machine name at
that place. I dont know where to put a dummy ip address for my machine
(somewhere in rc.c/inet.d/... i dont know where)
