Term Emulator & Colors

I'm a user on a Red Hat 5.2 system.  I've been messing around with the
dircolor command.  I use EWAN for my terminal emulation.  I set the
emulation to ANSI in order to make all the colors show up.  However, after
making this change the arrow keys no longer work on my keyboard.
Previously I had been using VT100 with no problems.
