Yes it is definately possible, in fact I have only ever installed it via
FTP, and a number of times.
Basically you do something like this:
Find your self a good fast server with the RedHat distribution on it and
make a note of the directory it is in.
Download the 2 disk images and use rawrite(under msdos or windows) to
Create the boot disks, or use dd under unix(these instructions can be
found on the redhat page.
Insert the first disk and boot your machine.
You will get a funky menu driven interface and at some point(near the
beginning) it will ask you how you intend installing it. Select the ftp
option and it prompts you for the second disk, insert this and select
your network card and if nessassary.
It will ask you for the server and you simply give it the ftp server and
directory to find it in.
Otherwise the installation is the same, you select what you want and it
fetches and installs it.
Note though that it is big, so doing this over dial-up is not a good idea
unless you have lots and lots of time to leave it.
Also note that everytime you want to add anything you will need to do this
over the network to.
This made no sence....The manual should help you more.
Once you have made the disks and started the installation it is very well
documented. The difficult part is making the boot disks from the
images(which will be on the ftp server you choose).
As I mentioned, I always do the installation over the network and it works
great.
Enjoy...
