Hi all:
        Thanks to you all for the good suggestions.  Got RH5.2 installed after
much hair pulling.  Seems the Dolch computer uses a M/B that Linux doesn't
like with some NIC's.  My Intel Etherexpress and Linksys Ether16 lan cards
would not work.  Finally tried a 3Com 3c503 (yeah, it IS REALLY) old) and
that finally worked.  The FTP transfer finally worked.
