Or you can type "sync" to sync information from memory to disk.

You have to unmount the floppy before you put in a new one becuase unix
doesn't write any information to the floppy until it is unmounted.  It's
a bit of a pain in the ass but you can write a script or something to
take
care of the mounting and unmounting for you.  Besides, how often do you
really use the floppies with a unix box?
