This usually works for me:
Open an xterm then look wil 'ps ax' to see what the PID is of the duff
process. In your case it seems to be 21005, but it's always good to verify
this. Then use 'kill 21005' to kill the process. If that doesn't work, the
more drastic 'kill -9 21005' will surely do the job.
