x server

Hi !


        Is there a reason why the x server crashes if i switch to another console
? Friends told me that the consoles are working independently and parallel,
so if i run any x stuff on console 1 why not do sth in the shell in
console2 ? But the xserver always crashed when i switched.

                Any idea why ?
