Apparently LILO will only boot a Linux partition if it is physically within
the first 1200 or so (I can't remember the exact number) cylinders.
Unfortunately my partition is after this cylinder at around 1600. If there a
way to get round this without resorting to reshuffling of partitions to get my
Linux ones to the beginning of the harddisk? Or do I have to obtain a copy of
PartitionMagic? > > Best regards, > Matt. > >

Try making a boot floppy and booting to Linux off that. type "man mkbootdisk"
for more info and examples.
