Thanks for the timely answer. Unfortunately, it didn't help - I get the same 
:Loading DOS, the the LILO boot prompt. I was also unable to mount the dos 
partition.

At this point I'm willing to just reformat, etc... If I do this though, it's 
only postponing  the issue of how do I install LILO to avoid this in the 
future.

Also, there's the question of - Will this work? (ie reformat hda1, install 
Win98)
