I installed RH6.0 from a cheapbytes CD. All was well untill I setup a
network and tried to telnet to the machine. I get a connection refused
message:
/usr/u1/hojo> telnet 192.168.0.254
Trying 192.168.0.254...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
/usr/u1/hojo>
my inted.conf telnet line is:
telnet stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.telnetd
and hosts.allow and deny are empty
How can I debug this situation and find out why telnet won't let me
connect? I cannot even telnet to the localhost while logged into the
console.

p.s. Just to convince myself, I hooked two PCs together with a crossover
and it worked! Silly me.
