I'm using SuSE 6.1 w/ kernel 2.2.10 and KDE, PS/2 mouse, Compaq Presario
1234 LapTop
I'm *sometimes* (I must stress the "sometimes" because I haven't found a
pattern yet) experiencing strange mouse behaviour in the KDE desktop. It
goes like this:
The problem starts after a random(?) length of time using the KDE desktop.
Whenever I click a button or when I stop pulling the mouse downwards the
mouse starts to move up a couple of pixels (10?). Moving the mouse upwards
or sideways hasn't got this effect. Stopping and re-starting (startx) the
desktop will eleviate the problem.
At first I thought it was a hardware problem. I have a PS/2 mouse connected.
I exchanged the mouse but the problem remains. I also removed the mouse and
used the touchpad. It has the same symptoms. I'm convinced now that it can't
be a hardware problem.
But what *COULD* it be?
Any ideas?
