Nor do we either, your description of the problem says very little indeed,
no info about what source is used, cdrom via nfs via ftp.??? how big is the
swap partition, what other things have you defined via fdisk/diskdruid, ???.
What bootdisk from which source are you using,??.
Is the CPU over clocked????
Tell us more, and we will try to help you, the above simply is not enough.
BTW: i for one have never heard of any computer bombing out while installing
a new system, by bombing out i mean having a kernel panic happen.
