It may not be of relavance, however there is a URL for this sort of problem,
it regards to signal 11 which is caused by memory problems and or a
overclocked cpu, it regards more to a running kernel but does give tips on
howto look for the problem, which may help you.

Well i cant see that the distribution is at fault, there should be no
differeance in installing this or any other distro.

What i would do in this case is firstly try changing the memory around if
possable, or try to obtain some other memory and put that in, then _IF_ the
cpu is over clocked slow it down, you will have to consult your motherboard
manuel for howto do that.
