Richard, Ray:
Thanks guys! I think you may have hit the nail on
the head. I believe I have a hardware problem since
when I reboot my machine, etc. (for the umpteenth
time), it bombs at slightly different places (always
after I set up my partitions in Druid). I had no idea
my CPU was overclocked. How can I tell if my problem
is CPU (AMD K6/266) or memory (64M)? I have succeeded
in loading MS-DOS and Windows 3.1 on the machine.

By the way, I'm trying to load a commercial product,
Linux-Mandrake 6.0 with RH 6.0 (the label on the box
says its "enhanced"). It came with a CD and a boot
disk. I've had the best luck loading with autoboot.bat
in the dosutils directory on the CD. When I first
tried it, I did not have MS-DOS and tried to boot with
the linux boot disk. For some reason, the boot disk
won't work any more (fails trying to load vmlinuz).

Appreciate all the help you can give. Thanks!
