No Subject

Hi 
can someone help me out with this. I try running kppp and get the following 
kpp has detected a "lock" option in /etc/ppp/options 
what do i do to get it going!
and 
when i run sndconfig it detects my sound card correctly then the system
just locks up!!
hope some one can help ...
ps i have RH6 installed
