You're wasting your time.  The best thing you could do with your
winmodem would be to sell it to a windoze user.  Then use the proceeds
to buy a real modem that you can use in Linux.

You won't be able to write a driver because the manufacturers won't
release the hardware specs.  They won't release the hardware specs
because they don't want anyone finding out that the only reason they
decided to replace a $0.50 component with software is because their
hardware is shoddy and they need the software to compensate.

Where is the sense in making the CPU do something that modems have
been doing successfully for more than the last 10 years.

As for "other winmodem drivers"... they don't exist.
