yeah for smbclient you'll need to specify it as
smbclient \\\\windowsmachine\\share
because your shell considers \ to be an escape character, which causes
the next character to be treated specially, and the combo
\\ is how you pass a single \ to a program... not sure on the windows
to linux part though
