I'm sure a lot of people here will give you lots of great reasons,
pros and cons of quite a few distributions. I won't. My advice to
you if you can't decide which distribution to use (they will all work
on both of your computers), is to go somewhere like cheapbytes [1] and
buy a selection of them. You can pick up a pack of CD's of nearly all the
major distributions for not much more than a packet of smokes.
That way you can try them all yourself, and them make up your own
mind.
